When a couple wants to plan a spring elopement, there is no better location in the world than the tulip fields in Holland. Tulip fields expand for miles across the Netherlands, and serve as the most popular tourist attraction each April. Most of the farms are privately owned and harvest their tulips once a year when the conditions become ideal. It’s hard to time the tulip bloom, but when you do - it is absolute MAGIC.
The most important element of finding the best spot for your tulip elopement is forming a relationship with a farmer. Unfortunately, you can not show up at any farm and start shooting although there are flower fields right off the main roads. Having a personal relationship with a grower will offer a more comfortable and private opportunity to access the fields leading to the best possible photos!
With the tulips being such a statement, it’s crucial to find the perfect flowy dress that accents the color palette. This long sleeve, blush toned gown by Made Bride gave such a beautiful silhouette and effortless movement amongst the tulips. Our groom was dressed in a white jacket with black pants. I always find a white dinner jacket goes great with spring style to keep the photos fresh and airy.
