- Start off with a nice pair of slacks and a white button-up!
Here are three tips for senior boy portraits. Senior boys can come across as a struggle compared to girls for moms when it comes time for Senior Portraits. However, they can be much easier to plan for! Boys like to keep it simple and so do we. Generally, boys don’t need as much time as girls and also don’t want as many outfit changes! As long as they have a nice pair of jeans and a white button-up shirt you are 90% of the way there!
2. Bring a truck, a four-wheeler, or a boat.
If you ask a senior boy what they love most you’ll probably get a reply saying they love their truck or boat the most! They love their trucks and boats so why not capture some photos of them with it! I’ve never seen boys more proud of themselves when they proudly proclaim that they have washed and cleaned their truck or boat for their photo session! These photos always turn out to be the highlight of the session and also turn into some of the best photos.
3. Show off their personality with the things they love!
For their second outfit change and this one usually gets them more excited. I love it when they get dressed as if they were about to go do their favorite hobby. Whether they are getting changed into a hunting outfit, getting ready to fish, or their sports uniform. This is where their personality really comes out and shines! It makes for amazing photos with big smiles and can also get some cool action shots with their hunting and fishing gear. This pairs really nicely with their first set of photos with their car or truck!
