Each time of year has a season and I love senior season!
Shooting senior portraits is a blast! It’s a nice break from the seriousness of weddings and engagements sessions and less hands on than minis and family portraits. It’s a great balance of all the above with extra fun.
Mainly because seniors need less direction than younger kids during my mini shoots or little kids during family portraits and because once you get over the nerves and a little bit of awkwardness you can have so much fun and get really creative!
I had the pleasure and tonnes of fun getting to shoot for Lucy out at her place. It was such a lovely day It had been raining before the shoot but luckily it cleared up and gave us some amazing light and conditions to play around with.
Her parents joined us which was a lot of fun as we happen to be old family friends and I haven’t seen them in a long time since I moved away from home. The last time I even saw Lucy I was a teenager and she was just a baby so it was pretty surreal getting to see a grown beautiful woman that I had the privilege of getting to shoot her senior portraits.
The entire day was a blast from getting to catch up with her parents, chatting to Lucy about her goal of becoming a vet studying at SAU, and all around just having lots of fun together while driving around on their ranger and getting to pick the best locations to capture some amazing images that I hope y’all love just as much as I do!
